Modi takes aim at Akhilesh's alliance with New Bua - Mamata Banerjee
A fire erupted in a plastic warehouse located in Barabazar on Monday morning, swiftly engulfing the premises due to the presence of highly flammable materials. Upon receiving the alert, seven fire department vehicles rushed to the scene, later joined by eight additional units to combat the escalating blaze.
The warehouse's proximity to the Nakhoda Mosque complicated firefighting efforts, with narrow access hindering the deployment of fire engines directly to the site. Firefighters commenced extinguishing operations using hosepipes from a distance, while the flames spread to an adjacent multi-storey building, visible from a distance of approximately one kilometer.
Despite the intensity of the fire, no injuries or casualties have been reported thus far. However, the incident has resulted in the destruction of goods worth lakhs.
Mayor Firhad Hakim visited the site to assess the situation, with initial investigations pointing to a potential short circuit as the cause of the fire.
